i've tried several different toe up methods

none have quite clicked with me, yet - where "clicked" is defined as "totally easy, so easy i don't even have to lookit the pattern and can knit with my eyes closed after just trying it once"

yeah, so that might be an unreasonably high expectation ~grin~
