I'm working on Brook Chenoweth Creel's Widdershins sock (plain because my cables get a bit tight still) and I was wondering if anyone wanted to knit along with me? It's a free Knitty pattern here and available on Ravelry here.
into it! when are you planning to start - did you already start? i'm in the middle of... 4 other pairs of socks plus a pair of gloves (plus some other things that are more on hiatus) and I don't have any free needles so I would need to finish something up to start
I've cast on and knit some of the increases for the toe but I keep having
to put it down to do other things. You'll have plenty of time to finish
up one of your wips before I even get done with one sock. :D And then
there's the dreaded second sock syndrome. (I have got to learn how to do
two socks at once.)
I think it feels and looks a little weird the first time you do it, but I'm
so used to it now! I wouldn't want to do socks any other way. I also try to
do mittens and gloves this way and I think I'm going to do the same for
sleeves when I get around to a sweater, if I can make that work.

Sweet! I will put this pattern next on my list then. I knit relatively fast but it often balances out because I switch between projects.
Two at a time socks is the best kind of socks.

I keep hearing that two at a time is the best way to do socks because you don't have to worry about the second sock at all.
I might try that next time. If this pair of socks doesn't make me want to knit a hat, that is.
