Introductions

People don't seem to be taking my encouragement to make an introduction post seriously, so I thought I'd make one and people can introduce themselves in the comments.

I'm chemicallace. I am a graduate student who has been knitting on-and-off for about five years. My knitting interests include lace, historical knitting, and science-themed knitting. Saga, my cat, likes to eat wooden knitting needles and assist with my work. My last finished project was a hat with chromosomes on it and my current one is a Christmas stocking.

Who are you? Anything we should know? Cookies?

I am zats_clear here, there, and everywhere...

Apparently, some of mom's knitting instruction actually took when I was a kid because when I picked up needles about a year ago, it all came back. Not that I ever did anything other than basic knit stitch and never so much as finished a scarf!

Now is all different, I am having a ball with knitting and have made many scarves and other things. I try to work in a new trick with each new pattern a choose. Socks will be happening, just not quite yet. I will lurk and admire until then. The whole reason I picked up knitting again was to knit socks, and I have a copy of the two at a time book.
